One System.
Closing the Loop.
Guided by careful record-keeping, our farm turns outputs into useful inputs closing the loop one stage at a time, and supporting steady production along the way.
The Loop
How the System Works
Four connected stages, zero-waste ambition — a loop we're closing, one resource at a time.

The Four Stages
How the Loop Works
Four stages, zero-waste ambition — every output from one stage becomes the input for the next.

01 / 04
Livestock Herd
Everything begins with the herd. Healthy, well-fed cattle are the base of the system, producing milk daily while generating the organic matter that supports the rest of the farm.
- Pasture-fed herd managed under strict welfare and nutrition standards
- Milk yield directly tied to feed quality and animal health
- Manure collected daily as the primary input for the next stage

02 / 04
Organic Fertilizer
Manure from the herd isn't discarded it's composted into organic fertilizer, a line we're currently scaling up. As it comes online, it's reducing our reliance on synthetic chemicals and returning natural nutrients to the soil.
- Manure composted into organic fertilizer as this line scales up to full production
- Designed to reduce reliance on synthetic agrochemicals across our crop fields
- Aims to improve soil health and long-term fertility as the line matures

03 / 04
Crop Production
As organic fertilizer comes online, our fields grow food and fodder crops on increasingly enriched soil. Healthy soil grows healthy crops and those crops feed both the market and the herd, closing the loop.
- Synthetic pesticide and fertilizer use kept low, moving toward organic-input growing
- Diverse crop varieties grown year-round, supported by our organic fertilizer line as it scales
- Soil health tracked through careful record-keeping

04 / 04
Livestock Feed
Harvested crops and crop residues are prepared into feed for the herd. This final stage returns nutrition back to the herd restarting the cycle a little stronger each time.
- Crop residues and by-products reused as feed, reducing what leaves the system
- Feed prepared on-site to match herd nutritional needs
- Closing the loop: each cycle strengthens the system a little further
Why It Matters
Built to Sustain.
Designed to Regenerate.
Every stage of the Ingaju system is engineered to return more than it takes from the soil to the community.
Ongoing
Reducing Chemical Use
Low Synthetic Input Use
On-farm organic fertilizer and livestock feed are reducing our dependence on synthetic agrochemicals, supporting food safety, soil health, and long-term production economics.
Tracked
Input Costs Monitored
Lower Production Costs
Circular resource use is cutting our expenditure on external inputs, strengthening financial resilience against commodity price volatility and supply chain disruptions.

Smallholder Impact
The Ingaju circular model is designed to be low-cost and directly applicable to smallholder operations, and we've shared it with farmers in our community in Nyagatare.
Scaling
Toward Zero Waste
Resource Recovery, Scaling Up
Manure, crop residues, and other by-products are increasingly captured and reintegrated into the system as our organic fertilizer line comes online.
